5-Levels Framework for Affiliates
The 5 Levels Offer Creation Framework is a research tool designed to help you organize and analyze affiliate offers effectively. By now, you should have compiled a list of offers, and the next step is to categorize them using this framework to gain deeper insights.
As outlined in the mind map above, the framework consists of five key levels:
- Opt-in Offer – A free offer given in exchange for contact details.
- Front-End Offer – A low-cost offer, typically aimed at covering traffic acquisition costs.
- Home Study Course – A mid-priced offer.
- The Event – A live event or package deal priced at $1,000 or more.
- The Ultimate Buy – High-ticket offers.
For those who prefer more modern marketing terminology, alternative terms are also provided in the mind map for reference.
The goal is to identify offers that fit within each of these levels to help you create a well-rounded promotional schedule. Ideally, you’ll want to include offers from all five levels. However, securing high-level offers can be more challenging and may require building a personal relationship with the seller.
That said, I had a student who connected directly with a company that sold high-end fitness equipment ($10,000 price point). He did six-figures per year just promoting that machine to people who were looking for it.
The Masters of Offer Creation
The inspiration for the 5 Levels Framework came from studying Agora Publishing‘s sales funnel, which follows a similar five-level structure. It starts with a free newsletter and culminates in the high-end sale of real estate.
Note: My insights into their funnel are based solely on my observations of their approach.
As an affiliate, most typically operate at Level 2. Some affiliates focus on driving traffic to Level 1 (opt-in) pages, while others promote Level 3 home study courses.
The key takeaway is that, as an affiliate, you have the opportunity to engage with all five levels. If you’re only working within one or two levels, it’s worth stepping back to consider the bigger picture.
Many “super affiliates” proactively create offers for Level 1, and occasionally Level 2, to broaden their involvement throughout the entire funnel.
